On the 31st of October, 2016 around 250 Franciscan Brothers and Sisters from and around Mangalore joined together to celebrate the Franciscan Fellowship in the St Anne's Friary Mangalore.

The Program began at 9.30 am with the Prayer dance by the UFS Candidates of Madanthyar, after which Rev Fr Paul Sumi, the Director of Postulancy at Dayalbagh Ashram Ujiire presented a well-researched discourse on the Franciscan Response to the Year of Mercy. This talk was followed by the Holy Eucharist presided over by Rev Fr Paul Melwyn, the guardian of St Anne's Friary wherein he encouraged all the gathered Franciscans to tame the wolf (i.e., anger, hatred, jealousy and so on) that is present in the town of Gubbio (i.e., our own lives, our communities, our provinces, congregation and our order at large).

At 11.45 the cultural event was held in the St Anne's Friary hall where all the student brothers of Dayalbagh, Mudubelle and Farangipate and student sisters of Madanthyar and Jeppu entertained the guests with their amazing performances. The celebration of Franciscan bond was obvious. Sumptuous lunch was served at the 1.30 pm.
